The Sea Barn is sited prominently at the foot of the pier in Avila Beach and was one of the first buildings to be completed after the 1999 Unocal remediation project. The three story building includes the owners' beach themed condominium above their retail business with storage and garage areas on the lowest level. The building design was influenced by buildings from the 30s and 40s in Avalon on Catalina Island.
